If you're looking for something a little more offbeat, we also recommend the Ace Hotel. It's a very cool hotel, also in the Pearl District, with extremely unique rooms (check them out). We aren't using the Ace Hotel as our home base for the wedding because, though the rooms provide turntables, many don't feature doors separating the bathroom from bedroom, which isn't for everyone. However, we really loved it and thought some of you would too. Plus, it's very close to the Lucia, which is the pick-up/drop-off point for the shuttles on the wedding day, so it won't be inconvenient for anyone choosing to stay there.

- We first met as 1Ls at Duke Law as members of Doriane Coleman's small section. Although we were friends over the next two years, the relationship did not really take off until the beginning of the third year of law school at the weekend campout for Duke basketball tickets, during which Julia kindly woke Will up for early morning tent checks and Will kindly allowed Julia to wake him. Shortly thereafter, we subjected each other to a movie litmus test (Jules' choice: "The Nightmare Before Christmas"; Will's choice: "The Apartment"), which we both passed with ease. From then on, it was smooth sailing, up the east coast to NYC, now out west to Oregon for the big wedding, and who knows where next!
